For the second time in two days, ABC attempted to exonerate Barack Obama from responsibility for a failed Christmas Day airline bombing. On Fridays Good Morning America, Brian Ross spun, “Well, like another young president almost 50 years ago, Barack Obama found the so-called intelligence professionals, the veterans, the old hands, failed him and failed the country.”
I wonder what Ross would have said if a Republican were president? LOL.

@longlivetherepublic1 If we were a pure democracy every issue that arose that effected the people of a community, state, and/or the country would have to be voted on by all citizens wishing to vote. We have elected officials that are supposed to be representing what those who elected them want.That’s a republic.Our elected officials are usually corrupt & on the take. They get rich while in office while screwing those who elected them.That’s how the US government operates.Neat huh?

@lifeseeker1 Cut what the medical corporations a charging (not the doctors salaries) and force the insurance companies to cut their fees so that everyone can afford health insurance while also forcing insurance to increase coverage back to what it was ins the 70′s. Quit offering illegal aliens free medical help. If anyone hires an illegal, fine the crap out of them and give them jail time whether they knew the person they hired was illegal or not…theres more, but not enough room here.

I am afraid you don’t know what a republic is.
A republic is where the minority have rights that are protected through a constitution and any majority can not deny them of these rights. A right to your property and life for example. A democracy, what we have now is just a simplification of a pure democracy, where elected officials take the place of all the people. Democracy is evil because if 50.001 % of the US said to kill all the black people say, then all the black people would be killed.
