I remember, word for word, the very first thing I said to anyone about Sarah Palin after she was nominated; I remember the semi-hushed, deeply serious tone, indicative of the recognition of a profound and horrific threat, in which I spoke it.
“You know, she’s the most dangerous person we’ve ever had. If she gets in, she’ll be a Hitler.”
Each passing second has proven me right ever since.
